Methodological Approach

Academic Offer

At Sacred Heart School, we conceive of education as a holistic, active, and participatory process, centered on the student as the protagonist of their own learning. Therefore, we implement an innovative and dynamic methodological approach, based on a balanced combination of active and contextualized strategies that respond to the needs of today's world.

Among the methodologies we apply are:

  •  Cooperative Learning, which promotes teamwork, shared responsibility and the development of social skills, allowing students to learn from each other through constant interaction.
  • Flipped Classroom, where theoretical content is explored beforehand at home using digital resources, allowing classroom time to be dedicated to in-depth study, reflection, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Project-Based Learning (PBL), through which students address real or simulated challenges that require research, creativity and critical thinking, thus developing transversal skills and autonomy in their learning.
  •  Case-Based Learning, which facilitates the acquisition of knowledge through the analysis of concrete situations, allowing students to apply theories and concepts to real contexts and develop decision-making skills.
  • Gamification, using game dynamics in the educational environment in order to increase the motivation, involvement and commitment of students in their learning process.
  • Critical thinking is fostered through reflective analysis, active questioning, and the evaluation of information from diverse perspectives. Students learn to argue with sound reasoning, recognize biases, and make evidence-based decisions. This approach strengthens their intellectual autonomy and prepares them to face the challenges of today's world.

These active methodologies promote a dynamic role for the student, who ceases to be a passive recipient of information and becomes an active subject, investigating, manipulating, discovering, and reflecting on the content and experiences that connect with their personal, social, and academic reality, allowing them to understand the value and application of learning in their daily life.
