At Sacred Heart School we believe in forming leaders with purpose, and one of the most enriching experiences we offer our students is the opportunity to belong to the Scouts program, for both girls and boys.
Scouting America – Puerto Rico Council is a community of children and adult volunteers committed to developing ethical leaders and responsible citizens through the Scouting America program, formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America. Our program is present throughout the island, impacting young people ages 5 to 21 with experiences that strengthen character, ethics, and leadership, guided by the Scout Law and Promise.

“Being part of Troop 82 means growth, leadership, values, new experiences, and unforgettable memories. It's an inspiring, hardworking, motivating, and family-like environment where every member feels part of something bigger. Here, you learn lifelong skills like teamwork, decision-making, responsibility, and empathy. At every meeting, you learn something new, spend time with friends, develop talents, and reinforce fundamental values. Respect for others and nature is promoted through adventures like camps, hikes, community projects, and outdoor activities that strengthen character and personal autonomy. The program's ranks help you grow progressively, setting clear and achievable goals. Reaching the Eagle rank is a symbol of commitment and leadership, opening doors to scholarships, professional opportunities, and prestige. It doesn't matter if you've never been a Scout before: everyone has a place here. The structure allows you to advance according to your effort and commitment, and experiences like Camp Guajataka, Jamborees, and Camporees reflect the true purpose of Scouting. The staff Guajataka inspires with passion and example, leaving a positive mark for life. Being part of this group means preparing for the future while building lasting friendships and becoming a better version of yourself.”
